Haplogroup L testing

Haplogroup L originated in the Indian subcontinent, where it is still found at high frequencies, it has however spread out over time to the Near East and is even rarely found in Mediterranean Europe.

This product will be of interest to those who have strong evidence (from SNP or STR markers) that they belong to the L group.

L Subgroup Test

This product tests M20, the marker which defines the L group and the most important downstream markers.

M76 is a marker for the ancient inhabitants of India.
M349 has recently been found by EthnoAncestry in the Mediterranean.
M357 is more common in Pakistan.

The full list of SNPs tested in the L subgroup test is as follows:

M20, M76, M317, M357, M349, M274 & PK3.
