YSTR Upgrade Test

The YSTR Upgrade test is designed for customers who wish to be tested for subset of YSTR18 markers uniquely available from EthnoAncestry i.e:

DYS505	DYS522	DYS533	DYS556	DYS575
DYS589	DYS549	DYS636	DYS638	DYS494

These markers are not tested by any other company!

Of these 10 markers DYS522, DYS589, DYS 549, DYS533 and DYS505 are relatively fast mutating, while , DYS575, DYS638 and DYS494 are relatively slow.

Adding these 10 markers to a haplotype will refine the matches and so help identify those that are related within a given timeframe. The extra resolution provided by these markers may allow different branches of one ancient family or a new subhaplogroup to be identified.
