Oppenheimer Clan DNA Testing

The Oppenheimer Clan DNA Test* for British and Irish origins, exclusively available from EthnoAncestry, determines which of the nearly 50 clusters (male founding clans) identified in Stephen Oppenheimer's book 'The Origins of the British' you belong to. This is a DNA test of the Y chromosome and should only be considered by men who believe themselves to be of British or Irish origin. We suggest women recruit a brother or other male line relative for DNA testing. Stephen Oppenheimer has assigned the Y chromosome types seen in the British Isles into a number of clusters which have suggested, based on DNA testing, a complete rewrite of British history.

For example, your male gene type might belong to the R1b-15c clan, a sub-cluster of the earliest Basque Ice Age ancestor "Rox". Or perhaps your male gene type belongs to the R1a1–3b Viking clan, a sub-cluster of the R1a1 (M17) group. The ancestor to your clan spread out from the Ukraine after the Ice Age and travelled via Lapland to Bergen in Norway, during the Mesolithic Period!

If you have never taken a Y chromosome DNA test: After submitting your saliva sample we will extract your DNA and test the required markers. Your type will be compared by Stephen Oppenheimer to his database in order to identify which cluster you belong to.
